The children, staff and Governors wish to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced 1:1 SEND Educational Support Assistant into our school community to play a key role supporting the needs of a specific pupil in Year 1.

* Have experience of working with pupils within the EYFS or implementing an Early Years play-based curriculum.
* Have experience in supporting children with additional needs, particularly those with complex social communication and interaction needs and sensory difficulties.
Experience of the following statements would be desirable, although relevant training will be provided:
* Experience with a Total Communication Approach to enable pupils to communicate their needs and preferences effectively when verbal communication is challenging (e.g., objects of reference/talking mats).
* Some experience of implementing an intensive interaction approach to support the development of social communication skills in pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism or complex learning difficulties.
