In this role you will act as an escalation point for the Service Desk on device related incidents and perform day to day administration and management of all devices within the business. This includes technical project work, service requests, software deployments, and any other activities surrounding the enterprise management of over 12,000 devices.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Key ownership of incidents escalated by the IT Service Desk and collaborate with suppliers, application vendors and other IT staff to resolve.
* Central management of devices, including anti-virus, application deployment and group policy, acting as a subject matter expert for such systems.
* Maintain and update a range of operating system images which meet business requirements, including the deployment process of these.
* Package and deploy enterprise applications to devices across the estate, and maintain these in line with current security requirements.
* P romote the use of services available under enterprise agreements such as Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud to the business user community.
* Attend remote sites to assist with device installations as required, which may include foreign travel.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience of managing either Microsoft, Android or Apple devices in an enterprise environment.
* Strong device administration experience, including patch management and operating system deployment using centralised management tools, such as Jamf, Soti or SCCM/MECM.
* Experience of administrating a mobile device management solution.
* Knowledge of application packaging techniques and a variety of deployment methods.
* Experience supporting Office 365.
* A good understanding of networking concepts including DNS and DHCP.
* Knowledge of enterprise anti-virus products, and other desktop security applications.
* Ability to apply asset management processes for both desktop hardware and software assets.
* P roblem solving skills within an IT environment.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to plan, coordinate and prioritise different activities.
* Ability to work well under pressure, ensuring a structured approach is maintained at all times.
* Ability to liaise with, and relate to, a broad spectrum of individuals.
* Ability to demonstrate both business benefits, and IT benefits where appropriate.
* Strong analytical skills to quickly and accurately respond to re-active problems ensuring that the most appropriate course of action is taken.
* Experience of working in an ITIL environment, understanding how the end to end processes work across the organisation.
