Vacancy: Cost Controller - Motor Trade
Location: South Normanton
Hours: Monday - Friday 9-5
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 DOE
Would you like to work for a progressive company, one who prides itself on staff retention and welfare? We are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Analysis and Control: Analyse fleet costs, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving measures.
2. Manage relationships with fleet suppliers, repairers, and service agents to negotiate favourable terms and ensure quality service.
3. Scrutinise, challenge, and authorise the costs of up to 100 daily jobs.
4. Manage estimate/authorisation workflow via portals, emails, and phone calls.
5. Interface with a network of maintenance suppliers and their respective billing structures.
6. Quality checking of compliance documentation.
This will be a busy role where attention to detail is paramount. Excellent communication skills are essential. Good IT skills and understanding of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel, are required. Previous experience within the transport industry is essential, and technical knowledge or background is advantageous.
