An exciting opportunity has risen for a Band 6 Mental Health Nurse to work within the Waltham Forest Adult Home Treatment Team WFHTT is a Multi-Disciplinary Team which provides a specialist service for adults that present with a mental health crisis. The service is an alternative to hospital admission and works intensively with service users in their own home. A clear understanding of Home Treatment/Crisis Resolution Model of service delivery including Gate keeping and facilitating early discharges from the ward. To ensure that assessments and care plans reflect the psychological, emotional, social care, treatment, intervention and risk management needs appropriate to adults with acute mental health problems. To enable others to contribute effectively, acknowledging the nature of and context of their work, sharing and taking account of own and others’ knowledge and skills, and differences in working and professional practice To work closely with other disciplines to deliver joined up care. To take joint responsibility for teaching and assessing of student nurses and other multi-disciplinary staff who are on placement within the team. To actively identify a full range of needs pertaining to equality and diversity issues that may arise for service users. The post holder will be expected to work across a 7 day a week rota including weekends and bank holidays and will need to be able to travel across sites in order to carry out their clinical duties (car parking pass is provided). Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex. Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. High-Cost Area Supplement This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata).
