Main duties of the job
As a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a diverse range of activities and events to stimulate and engage the residents. This includes identifying their life histories, needs, and preferences, arranging activities and outings, and maintaining a safe and positive environment. You will work closely with the team, residents, and their families to ensure exceptional care and a fulfilling experience for all.
Job responsibilities
Your focus as a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator will be to provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being and to understand the need to promote the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
* Planning and submitting to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
* Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
* Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with older people in a residential or nursing Dementia setting, as well as skills in organizing activities and events. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and a positive attitude toward older people are also essential.
