Excellent opportunity to join a leading Civils and Groundworks Contractor working on a large residential groundworks and civils project in North East Yorkshire. This scheme with comes with roads, sewers, drainage, groundworks, hard landscaping and 278 works. Duties will include: Delivery of the contract within programme and budget. Control and management of sub contract resources to the highest levels of safety, quality and efficiency. The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met. Ensuring that, in conjunction with the Project Delivery Team, changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed. Proven experience as a Groundworks Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage a small team effectively. Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites. Proficient in operating relevant machinery and tools. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A valid driving licence is preferred Must have: Valid SMSTS/SSSTS CSCS Card Groundworks and civils experience. Duties - Carry out groundworks including drainage, installation, and site preparation. - Supervise and manage a team of workers to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. - Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site. - Maintain a clean and organised work environment. - Liaise with project managers to report progress and address any issues that arise during the project. - Assist in training new staff members in safe working practices and operational procedures.
