We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.
Bringing together two big organisations is not a small task and it’ll take a while to fully integrate our systems, processes and approaches. That’s why you will notice the jobs here are still branded ‘Humankind’. Next year we’ll be fully integrating our recruitment systems but for now they are separate.
Training Support Volunteer
Forward Leeds is the alcohol and drug service in Leeds for adults, young people and families. Forward Leeds is delivered by 4 services in partnership, led by Waythrough.
This exciting volunteer role would suit someone with an empathetic, non-judgmental attitude who can build strong working relationships with others. We’re hoping this role will be getting involved in the organisation, delivery and data collection of training sessions delivered to the workforce of Forward Leeds.
About the role...
Tasks will include:
* To help with the organisational admin including organising room bookings, promoting training events, recording attendance, capturing evaluation
* Work closely with the Workforce Development trainer to develop and deliver new training
* Potential to co-deliver training sessions
* Collate and organise data on training attendance, cancellations, and update the training dashboard
* Collaborate with the Workforce Development trainer to create and update training materials and resources
About you...
Skills we would like you to bring:
* Keen and enthusiastic
* Organised
* Professional
* Preferably some knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint
* Experience of public speaking, training, delivering presentations useful but not essential – willingness to talk in front of groups of people necessary
* Able to work on own initiative and to instruction
* Non-judgmental towards people who have experienced substance use
* An understanding of Forward Leeds – information is available on our website, and you can call a specific project to make enquires
* A genuine interest in being part of the mission and vision of Forward Leeds
* Ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to Forward Leeds policies, engage in supervision, and complete relevant training
* We ask that you are able to commit to a half a day or full day for a minimum of 6 months.
