Are you a Registered Dietitian looking for an exciting new part time post? We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Dietitian with experience and interest in acute medicine to join our growing dietetics team.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and time management skills, together with an ability to be flexible and a commitment to MDT working. In return, we offer excellent development opportunities within the field of acute medicine and nutrition support.Our Nutrition & Dietetic Service has excellent relationships with our MDT colleagues and our well respected team of 35 provide a service to the ethnically diverse populations of Wolverhampton & Cannock. We provide clinical placements for dietetics learners throughout the year
Working with other colleagues, the successful candidate will provide the dietetics service to patients at RWT to designated clinics and acute medical patients receiving inpatient care.
Once established in your role you will also support the development of junior members of the team on rotation, and participating in the education of student dietitians.

To assess, diagnose and treat nutrition related problems in acute medical patients.
To run dietitian lead clinics for a cohort or liver/gastro patients.
Proactively support patients to meet their nutritional needs and improve health outcomes with dietary interventions.
To assess nutritional requirements and devise appropriate enteral feeding regimens, facilitating discharge home as required.
To work with the team to develop patient education resources.
To work with the MDT to improve patient care, treatment and outcomes.
To develop and arrange training for members of the multidisciplinary and dietetic team as required.
To develop practice by undertaking evidence-based audit and project work.
Support the Team Leader in leading huddles and organising day to day work.
