An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading and successful business in the outskirts of Glasgow.
Our client is a major player within their industry and forms part of a larger business known throughout the world. Due to a finance re-structure, our client seeks to recruit the position of Financial Controller - Compliance reporting directly to the CFO.
The key duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Responsible for the Financial & Regulatory Compliance of the Group, supporting the CFO and Global Finance functions to remain compliant for financial reporting, Tax & Legal structure.
2. Ensure the Group function has an optimal organisational legal structure.
3. Involvement in annual SOC Audits, ensuring the finance team provides appropriate evidence on time and that internal controls are well documented.
4. Responsible for UK entities submissions to Companies House.
5. Lead the annual external financial statement audit and ensure minimal overruns.
6. Participate in the execution of Share Purchase Agreements and financial due diligence as required.
7. Ensuring compliance with local and international statutory deadlines for tax, financial statement and transfer pricing.
8. Pension accounting for the group's DB scheme.
9. Main relationship contacts with banking partners.
10. Oversee UK Corporation Tax filing cycle.
The main candidate will be a fully Qualified Accountant with a strong compliance/audit background, preferably within the Big4 or other Professional Practice firms. You will be a robust individual who can interact at all levels, meet tight deadlines and manage a small finance compliance team.
As this role is pivotal to the day-to-day compliance, you will be required to be organised, commercially aware with strong attention to detail. Strong working capital knowledge is also essential as you will oversee the debtor collection for both internal and external along with the Credit Manager.
