Job Title: Procurement Executive

Salary: £63,900
What you’ll be doing:
* Responsible for designing, mobilising, and managing the overarching strategy for the Procurement elements of the TyTAN Follow On Campaign
* Represent the Procurement Service Delivery Unit (SDU) as the functional lead with the Campaign Team
* Planning and Programme execution of the Procurement support required to meet the campaign timelines
* Responsible for coaching and leading the team to ensure there is a robust and evolving project plan which the team are focused on delivering, including short, medium and long term objectives to meet the submission deadlines over a long time duration
* Understand, apply and share lessons learnt from wider In-Service Support activities in order to enhance our approach and enable greater efficiency
* Ensure contracts with suppliers have commercial rigour which minimises exposure to risk, encourage innovation and incorporate improvement
* Lead supplier relationship activities for strategic / key suppliers
* Ensure supplier selection and approval, whether competitive / non-competitive, is managed in accordance with the Procurement Process and Procedures (e.g. ethical trading, QA checks, legal and due diligence requirements) that can be audited internally and externally
Your skills and experiences:
Essential Skills:
* Experience in leading, managing and delivering strategically important and high value campaigns.
* Experience of establishing and managing strategic supplier relationships
* Thorough understanding of pricing models (competitive and non-competitive pricing techniques).
* Thorough understanding of functional commercial and procurement capabilities.
* Strong Commercial, Contractual, Legal and business acumen, with proven negotiation skills
* Proven experience in Market Intelligence, International Sourcing, Risk and Opportunity Management, Contracting and Supplier Relationship Management
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, engaging at appropriate levels across multiple organisations
Desirable skills:
* Working knowledge of UK MoD Contracts and DEFCONs
* Working knowledge of TyTAN and or Typhoon Support Solutions
* Knowledge and understanding of the application of Operational Framework, Life Cycle Management (LCM) Framework and other change management tools, policies and procedures
