About the Role:
As a leading care agency specializing in temporary recruitment, Nurseplus is seeking Children’s and Young People Support Workers. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, committed, and genuinely interested in providing top-quality care for children and young people. You will work across various settings, including Mental Health, Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Education, and Residential care.
Your role involves working closely with children in care, focusing on their needs and well-being. Your daily responsibilities include supporting their educational pursuits, hobbies, and activities, contributing positively to their development and future outcomes.

* Pay rates from £13.15 to £18.50 per hour, paid weekly

Responsibilities:
* Supporting, safeguarding, and promoting the well-being of children and young people
* Assisting with daily routines in community and educational settings
* Organizing and facilitating social activities
* Providing transportation when needed
* Working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe practices
* Offering high levels of supervision and support
* Complying with Ofsted regulations
* Managing complex behaviours and crisis situations
* Contributing to care plans and risk assessments, including reviews and updates
Minimum Requirements:
* At least 6 months of experience working with children or young adults
* Over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Knowledge in areas such as EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEND
* Good standard of English and effective communication skills
* Desirable: Diploma 3/4 in Health and Social Care or Residential Care
* Enhanced DBS check (cost £45.40, refundable after a set period of employment)
