We are looking for enthusiastic nurses who are keen to work within our Frailty Same Day Emergency Care. You will be working within the Urgent and Emergency Care Division as part of fast-paced, care of the elderly setting. This department looks at giving bespoke care to our elderly patients and provide treatments and provision to prevent unnecessary hospital admission.

Main duties of the job
To work effectively and efficiently within the framework of team nursing and individualised patient care. In collaboration with the department's integrated multidisciplinary team to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients.
To contribute towards developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment and to supervise junior registered and non-registered staff.

Job responsibilities
Working as a Registered Nurse within the hospital setting. Carry out assigned tasks involved with direct patient care whilst maintaining the privacy and dignity of patients. This will be whilst demonstrating excellent care, compassion and communication, working alongside the multidisciplinary team, incorporating:
1. Delivering high quality direct patient care
2. Following patient admission/transfer/discharge processes
3. Maintaining a safe environment
4. Medication administration
5. Care planning, implementation and evaluation
6. Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team, patients, families and their carers
7. Maintain best practice, ensuring compliance with evidence-based practice and research
8. Accountable to nurse in charge of each shift and supporting junior colleagues
9. Maintain skills, knowledge and competencies adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, and the Trust's policies and procedures

Experience

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse provide evidence of NMC registration/ pending NMC registration.
