At Grandir UK our Fantastic Facilities Team are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of Nursery refurbishment and brown/greenfield projects. If you have experience in the education or care sector, this is your chance to lead exciting and meaningful projects from start to finish Please note that this is a field based role and travel will be required. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered within the set scope, schedule, and budget. Collaborate with stakeholders, including designers, architects, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure smooth project execution. Provide detailed cost management services, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling project finances. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with regulations. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, particularly in the context of a children's Nursery environment. Ensure all relative legislation is complied with through project duration specifically including, but not limited to, The Construction (Design and Management) Regulation 2015, Planning and Building Regulations Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders, including but not limited to Feasibility Studies, detailed business case justification and CAD space plans Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are achieved. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure clear communication and efficient collaboration. Manage procurement of materials and services, negotiating contracts and managing relationships with suppliers, including setting up and managing JCT contracts Lead a team, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior project staff. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CIOB) preferred. At least 5-7 years of experience in project management, with preferably relevant experience in the children s nursery or educational sector. Proven experience in cost management and budgeting, particularly in construction and building projects. Strong understanding of construction processes, regulations, and quality standards. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations in nursery or educational environments. Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities. Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and cost management tools. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
