About Flow
Flow is loved by the fastest moving hardware teams, solving fundamental problems in space travel, clean energy and transportation. You will help build the modern playbook for the entire industry.
We're <10 people, profitable and fast-growing. We're a hybrid company, working from our office in Soho, at least 3 days a week.
We exist to give engineers superpowers. Our mission is to vastly accelerate hardware invention by building critical software infrastructure that accelerates foundational engineering processes. Our product, is a collaboration platform that helps teams to bring products to market faster by seamlessly integrating and synchronising their engineering models.
About Engineering at Flow
* We care deeply about our users, their pains, and their experience
* We’re a small team of generalists, constantly picking up new challenges
* We’re united by our passion for our mission, deep focus and fast execution
* We deploy to production multiple times a day (including Fridays!)
♂️ What you’ll do
* Talk to the world’s top hardware engineers (our users), understand how they work, their pains, and ship solutions to those pains
* You’ll know our customers, how they feel about the product, and what milestones they need to hit to get their own product(s) to market. You’ll know what our sales pipeline looks like, and what features matter to whom in the pipeline
* Take an idea from a customer call you had to production, in hours
* Brainstorm with the team to find simpler, easier solutions to user problems
* Write simple, clear code that’s easy to read for your teammates
* Jump on a call with a user who’s having trouble with the feature you shipped for them
❤️ About you
* Passionate about solving human problems
* Love the feeling of getting something done - Perfect is the enemy of Good
* Excited to be one of the first 5 engineers at a profitable, fast-growing, early-stage startup.
* Not afraid to develop strong opinions. Even less afraid to change them when presented with opposing evidence
* Excited by the prospect of working on / solving / learning something you never have before - including non-”technical” things.
* Comfortable with compromising on what you think is best for the sake of solving a user’s pain sooner than had you not compromised
* Always able to understand the bigger picture/”Why”. If/when you don’t, you’re not afraid to say so - others probably don’t either
* Good communicator - clear, concise, courteous.
* 2+ year(s) experience as a Software engineer
