Job summary SENIOR CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOW 's SPINALSURGERY(StRHGrade) Applications are invited for the above Spinal posts vacant to start 06 August 2025 until 4 August 2026 to work at the University Hospital of Wales, Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales and University Hospital Llandough. The post holder will work with nine dedicated Spinal Orthopaedic Consultants who are actively involved in all aspects of spinal surgery ranging from degenerative cervical and lumbar disease to tumour and scoliosis in adults and children.The Welsh Centre for Spinal Surgery & Trauma is a recognised AO Spine Reference Centre and a Spinal Training Interface Group accredited centre. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will gain valuable experience in all aspects of spinal surgery and there is an active research programme in place including basic science laboratory facilities. TheCentreis associated withCardiffUniversityand excellent postgraduate facilities are available. The Post Holder will be expected to work at Senior Specialty Registrar level and will participate in the Spinal on call rota at University Hospital of Wales. The post is not educationally approved and will therefore not attract a National Training Number. We are a teaching health board with close links to Cardiff University.
