SHEQ / HSEQ Manager – Safety & Environmental Compliance

LOCATION: Southeast Birmingham area
ROLE: SHEQ / HSEQ Manager – Safety & Environmental Compliance
1. Maintain Health and Safety, Environment, and Quality policy across all sites.
2. Review, improve, and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments.
3. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, maintaining accident statistics including root cause analysis.
4. Conduct site audits, train staff, ensure waste duty of care, and compliance against site permits.
5. Manage permitting and quality management systems.
EXPERIENCE:
You will have managed SHEQ at a management level and be able to demonstrate autonomy and self-motivation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You will have a NEBOSH General as a minimum. Beneficial qualifications include COTC / WAMITAB, NEBOSH Environmental, and an Environmental Degree.
Desirable affiliations include TechIOSH, GradIOSH, CMIOSH, IEMA, and any professional certification such as an MBA.
