Job Title: Fire & Security Engineer
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience
Job Type: Full-Time, 45 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00)

Purpose of the Role: As a Fire & Security Engineer, you will respond to service requests for a range of fire and security systems. This includes the service, maintenance, and fault-finding of addressable and non-addressable fire systems, DDA systems, and security alarm systems. Key Responsibilities:
1. Service and maintain fire alarm systems.
2. Service and maintain security alarm systems.
3. Service and maintain emergency lighting systems.
4. Service and maintain DDA-compliant systems.
5. Complete maintenance reports and site survey reports.
6. Attend fault calls for fire and security alarm systems.
7. Participate in an on-call rota.
8. Complete van stock and condition reports.
9. Assist other departments as needed.
10. Provide prompt, accurate responses to client inquiries.
11. Ensure all paperwork is processed promptly in line with ISO procedures.
12. Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach at all times, delivering high standards of personal service.
13. Build and maintain strong client relationships, upholding our client’s positive reputation.
Note: This list is not exhaustive and additional duties may be requested by senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Extensive knowledge of fire and security system installations.
2. Familiarity with system commissioning (preferred but not essential).
3. Preferred knowledge of FIA courses (1, 2/3, 6).
4. Expertise in systems such as Kentec, Advancis, Morley (Ziton and Gent) would be advantageous.
5. Knowledge of Texecom and Galaxy Grade 2 & 3 intruder alarm systems.
6. Experience with Paxton and HID access control systems.
7. Proficiency in both analogue and IP CCTV systems.
8. Familiarity with Baldwin Boxall and C-TEC DDA systems.
9. Ability to perform system servicing, testing, client demonstrations, and training.
10. Logical, precise fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
11. Strong organisational skills and the ability to complete relevant documentation.
12. Strong IT skills, including knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
13. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
14. Positive attitude and commitment to career development.
15. Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
