Client-Specific Information: This role is in partnership with our esteemed client at Gatwick Airport, managing the car wash and taxi area. The Duty Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing smooth daily operations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with site protocols and safety regulations. Job Purpose: The Car Wash and Private Hire Area Duty Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of both the Valet Car Wash facility and the Private Hire area based at Gatwick Airport. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance within the site. This manager supervises staff across both facilities, handles scheduling, and resolves any issues to ensure a smooth, integrated operation. Key Responsibilities: Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints, aiming for a high standard of service. Supervise car wash team members, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and adhere to service standards. Conduct daily briefings to discuss performance targets, safety procedures, and customer service expectations. Ensure high standards of cleanliness and service to enhance customer experience. Manage equipment maintenance schedules, ensuring all machines operate safely and efficiently. Monitor stock levels of chemicals, cleaning products, and tools, coordinating with suppliers as needed. Ensure the facility is always kept clean and presentable. Conduct Level 1 Safety inspections (full training will be provided). Monitor vehicle flow, driver behavior, and cleaning standards throughout the taxi rank area. Handle driver inquiries and resolve complaints, aiming for a high standard of service. Promote professional conduct among drivers and ensure adherence to Gatwick Airport's terms and conditions. Implement health and safety policies for both customers and drivers, addressing any safety issues immediately. Qualifications and Skills: Supervisory or management experience in a similar role, ideally involving both car wash and/or transport operations. Strong customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Excellent organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage both facilities efficiently. Valid UK driving license is essential.
