There are 2 full time vacancies for Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (WPs) available. These vacancies are available within the existing team for the South Nottinghamshire area and North Nottinghamshire area.
Successful candidates will be required to attend a 12 month training programme with the University of Reading which commences in February as part of this post. You will work towards completing a Post Graduate Certificate qualification of a CYP IAPT approved training in Evidence-Based Psychological Treatment for Children and Young People.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Community CAMHS South or North Team as a Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.
The Children and Young Peopleâs Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT) is a service transformation programme delivered by Health Education England (and partners) which aims to improve existing children and young peopleâs mental health Services (CYP MHS) working in the community.

The post-holder will work a trainee as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, high-quality; brief outcome focused evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to
moderate mental health difficulties including anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties.
The post-holder will work with children, Young People and Families with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary.
The post-holder will also oversee elements of participation. This includes engaging all service users in various ways to gain feedback, participate in shaping services and running appropriate participation
groups within the services.
The post holder will be required to be creative, flexible, adaptable, professional and motivated in all aspects of their role, both in clinical delivery and within the development of the service provision.
Where appropriate to provide support for the work of other members of the multidisciplinary team and signpost children, young people and families to appropriate support.
To work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team to enhance the mental and emotional well-being of children and young people within Nottinghamshire.
