The Role:
A career in Facilities Management is a career unlike any other. Our teams deliver a suite of services to thousands of staff across the Hampshire County Council network. We are looking for a polite, flexible and friendly individual to join our established FM team, who have the responsibility for welcoming both staff and members of the public. Being part of a professional team, you will be delivering excellent 'Front of House' customer service to staff and visitors.
Teamwork is an essential requirement of the role, enabling the team to be robust in providing an excellent standard of customer service. Daily tasks include being the first point of contact for those arriving, arrange for visitors to be collected or direct to meeting rooms and assist with queries. You will also carry out Health and Safety Checks, sort post/deliveries, accurately record information in line with procedures and respond to telephone calls in a professional manner.
In your role you will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be flexible and adaptable in work style and supportive to your colleagues and peers - have tact, to be able to support and communicate in various scenarios/settings, tailoring your approach accordingly. You will also have good IT skills. The role can be very demanding during peak periods, with flexible working necessary to support other Facilities Management Teams as and when required.
Due to the duties involved in this role, you will need to be able to fulfil the moving/handling requirements as detailed in the job description and person specification below. The working week is 37 hours, Monday to Friday.
Training will be provided to assist you in this role including, First Aid and Manual Handling.
