Operations Europe - Translations Project Manager Reports to: Operations Manager Based: Portsmouth, UK Position: Permanent Full Time - 37.5 hours a week, working pattern to be agreed with manager. Hybrid working is available, but you will be required to also work in our office at Lakeside (just outside Portsmouth). About BTS BTS delivers a wide range of content in support of our face to face or virtual deliveries. Our translations function manages the effective translation of this content in to other languages, where required. We use a combination of AI Tools (Phrase) with a pool of human validators to produce high quality translations of our materials. The Translations Project Manager oversees all translations efforts for our European region. This role is critical in helping BTS Europe deliver for the regional needs of our clients. The Translations Project Manager reports to the Operations Manager for our Portsmouth Office, which is a multi-functional hub for support functions, such as Operations, Design and Finance. Program management | Oversees all translations efforts for BTS Europe; works to create standards, best practices, and translations education for BTS. Project management | Manages individual translations projects from inception to completion and serves as the central point person for all teams involved. You will be regularly partnering with Account Managers and wider teams to deliver translations for their client account teams. Process management | Develops clear, efficient processes for the translation of multi-modality standard content; continually works to leverage AI and automation capabilities to simplify, shorten, and lower costs for translations processes; uses data to measure progress and opportunities. Collaboration | Works closely with internal translations partners (such as Momenta product owners, Mumbai content development teams, other content teams) to create thoughtful, integrated translations solutions. Vendor relations | Serves as a SME and point of contact for translations software vendors (e.g. Phrase); addresses team questions, connects users to vendor-led trainings, and stays informed of new releases and information. Translations community | Partners with a community of regional Translations PMs, local linguists, and local digital support teams; creates a space for others to learn and share and influences best practices and processes for translations efforts in and outside of BTS Europe.
