Job Description
Purpose of the Job:
Allocated to key strategic initiatives on a rotational basis, the Business Projects Lead (BPL) will be responsible for working with business leaders and their teams to ensure that Rotork’s strategic vision is translated into actionable plans and implemented on time. By managing the delivery of one or more strategy related projects, it is envisaged that the BPL will develop a broad understanding of Rotork’s business model and assist in creating solutions for emerging business issues whilst actively contributing to the ongoing development of a culture of high performance and accountability with a constant focus on delivering growth through customer value. The role will engage cross-business contributors and stakeholders to nurture a collaborative environment to deliver our strategy.
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
* Work closely with the DRIVE Programme Director, Programme Managers, Business Leads and other Business Project Leads to manage and contribute to strategy deployment across the organization.
* Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to drive success.
* Provide the DRIVE Programme Director with regular updates on project progress ensuring that key issues and risks are escalated and resolved quickly.
* Ensure that allocated project(s) have milestone plans and resource requirements (people / ££) are clear. For larger projects ensure a full investment appraisal has been completed and is being tracked against.
* Run a post review analysis on all major projects within 3 months on completion and create a lesson learnt for future use
* Support complex management of interdependencies across the strategic initiative portfolio.
* Drive the adoption of common tools and practices across all businesses, and continuous improvement of the process to drive execution excellence.
* Works with the wider business to provide insight and feedback on the effectiveness of strategy deployment processes and outcomes.
* Provides leadership to resolve complex issues.

* Ability to translate strategic intent into actionable cross-functional solutions.
* Ability to work effectively within a global matrix organisation, embrace diversity and inspire/influence others to be the best they can be.
* Degree educated, with or working towards a relevant post-graduate qualification.
* Proven ability to set and maintain direction, whilst being hands on when needed to deliver short term objectives.
* Ability to communicate clearly and manage change effectively.
