Newrest has an exciting opportunity for a chef de partie. You will provide exceptional levels of culinary standards in accordance with menu specifications set by Newrest. You will confidently learn and create dishes, constantly working with the guest in mind, always looking for ways to make the dining experience even more memorable.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £16.37 per hour
Rental: London Gatwick

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Work alongside head chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with production preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking.
2. Ensure/maintain meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.
3. Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited to, line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating.
4. Oversee and organise kitchen stock and ingredients.
5. Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verify all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance.
6. Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours.
7. Train new kitchen employees to unit and kitchen standards.
8. Manage food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimizing waste, plus work with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.
9. Ensure all food preparation and presentation adhere to customer quality standards.
10. Work with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities.
11. Assist head chef with customer menu creation and presentation.
12. Help the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus.
13. Ensure the team maintains the required standards of food hygiene and follows the rules of health and safety.
14. Adhere to Unit safety measures in place.
15. Adhere to inflight Security Compliance Services.
16. Adhere to clean as you go standards.
17. Interact with colleagues, customers, and clients in a professional manner at all times.
18. Comply with all unit Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
19. Any other duties as requested by your manager.
