Axcis Education are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a primary SEND school in Bournemouth. The school have an excellent reputation with superb facilities for pupils with ASC, SEMH and ADHD. All pupils have been referred to the school from mainstream education and can be referred at any point of the year. Pupils will work at the school for a short or long period of time with some completing their primary education with the school if suitable and others returning to mainstream education. The school have 50 pupils on role with an excellent and supportive staff and senior leadership team. Pupils are predominately from the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area but they also take on pupils from Hampshire and Dorset. Each class has between 6-10 pupils and have high staffing levels to support pupils. This means you will be working with an excellent and experienced team who care about child welfare. They are looking for staff who have experience as a teaching assistant but this is not essential. You must be able to form positive bonds and be creative with supporting pupils as well as having a proactive approach and work well with a team and independently. The school are looking for staff to start on a full time basis working between 08:30 and 16:00 each day Monday to Friday from September 2024 and would be for at least the rest of the academic year.
