About the Role - As a Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing existing and prospective accounts in North England. You will be promoting laboratory equipment and consumable products within the clinical, academic and private sectors. You will be working towards your own regional target whilst maintaining a high quality of service to customers and constantly building on your product knowledge. Therefore, strong communication skills, the ability to adapt, and the drive to succeed whilst overcoming obstacles is crucial for this role. The candidate can be located in Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield/ M62 Corridor.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to drive, and have your own car, so you can travel freely and regularly within your assigned territory.
Responsibilities -
* Arrange and conduct regular meetings with new and existing customers to discuss and promote products (this will include cold-calling)
* Produce quotes for the customer
* Chase quotes to win the business
* Provide product information from a variety of sources to answer customer queries and inform them of suitable products
* Liaise with team members and other internal stakeholders, e.g. counterparts within other Calibre Scientific business units, Customer Service, Internal Sales; to share information, communicate market and product information, obtain answers to technical queries etc
* Attend and input into regular team sales meetings
* Plan and attend exhibitions
* Identify and help to complete tenders
* Analyse data and sales figures, and produce reports in various formats to identify trends, monitor margins, and identify growth/decline – these will often be requested by management and Product Specialists
* Maintain and update the company CRM to keep accurate records of customer details and meetings
Experience & Skills -
* At least one year of field sales experience within the science industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* A strong general knowledge of a variety of laboratory products, gained either through direct sales experience or hands-on use in a laboratory setting.
Qualifications -
* A degree (or equivalent) in a scientific field, such as Biological Sciences, Biomolecular Sciences, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related discipline
