Position Overview
Bunzl Safety is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Business Analyst with a focus on Pricing. This entry-level position will play a key role in maintaining and executing pricing strategies across various customer segments, channels, and product categories. Reporting to the Sales Strategy function, this role is cross-functional, collaborating with Sales, Purchasing, Category Management, and Retail Sales teams. The successful candidate will own the integrity of our pricing processes and have opportunities to grow and expand into other categories over time.
Key Responsibilities
* Price Analysis & Maintenance: Analyze pricing data and trends and maintain pricing structures across multiple channels and customer categories.
* Pricing Execution: Develop, implement, and monitor pricing strategies to support sales and profit objectives, ensuring alignment with company guidelines.
* Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy and integrity in all pricing data across ERP and other systems.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Category Management, and Retail Sales teams to align on pricing initiatives and optimize performance.
* Reporting & Insights: Prepare reports and provide actionable insights using Power BI and Excel to support decision-making and strategic goals.
* Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within pricing processes.
Core Competencies & Skills
* Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in Excel (intermediate expert), and Power BI, Data Visualization tools.
* Proactive Mindset: Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
* Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and Power BI skills required; knowledge of ERP systems (Infor preferred) is an asset.
* Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively across departments and present insights effectively to various stakeholders.
* Growth-Oriented: Eager to learn and develop within the role, with the opportunity to expand into additional categories.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
* 1-2 years of experience in a business or pricing analyst role preferred, but recent graduates with relevant coursework and internship experience are encouraged to apply.
* Experience in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment is a plus.
