It is also home to the main base of Kent Oncology Centre, which provides complex radiotherapy and chemotherapy for patients throughout Kent and North East Sussex.
The Kent Oncology Centre provides oncology services to Kent, Medway and East Sussex and the Centre provides a full range of chemotherapy and supportive treatments at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals and radiotherapy services in Maidstone and Kent & Canterbury Hospitals. The centre offers the whole range of radiotherapy treatment facilities and has radiographer-led services across the patient pathway.
This is an exciting post for an enthusiastic, motivated person who would like to work in a friendly multidisciplinary team.
You would be responsible for undertaking reception duties and general administrative support to the oncology team. This will include managing the patient transport journeys.
Good communication and IT skills are essential. An ability to work within a busy environment would be necessary to fulfil this role, and previous experience in a clinical environment would be an advantage. Previous experience working with the Oncology Centre management system and knowledge of radiotherapy working practice is desirable.
This role can require cross-site working.
We are looking for someone to work core hours on a Friday at Maidstone, and the rest of the remaining hours can be discussed post-interview.
