Salary: £50,000- £53,000 + benefits
Location: This is a working from home role, with an expectation of travel to Birmingham, London and travel to other locations for site visits and meetings.
Contract: 12 month maternity contract until December 2025

The Canal and River Trust is committed to growing its fundraised income and has developed ambitious targets for fundraising over the coming years. Senior Partnerships Manager (Trusts, Lotteries & Statutory) is an exciting role within the Philanthropy & Partnerships team which will help the Canal and River Trust to deliver significant growth in income. We are looking for a proactive and experienced fundraiser who will personally identify, cultivate and manage a portfolio of institutional funding prospects including Trusts & Foundations, Lotteries, and Statutory sources. The successful candidate will develop strategic national funding relationships, working across the organisation to ensure a joined up approach to engaging these funders and to consistently deliver high quality applications and reports. The Senior Partnerships Manager (Trusts, Lotteries & Statutory) will manage a small team and work with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to develop a high performing fundraising culture.
About the role & you
Key accountabilities:
* Successful track record of securing multi-year partnership funding at a seven-figure level.
* Significant experience of identifying and cultivating partnership relationships with cold prospects.
* Experience of submitting high-value applications to National Lottery and Statutory sources.
* Experience of cross-organisational collaboration and implementing new ways of working in a large, complex charity.
* Demonstrable experience of developing funding pipelines and strategies.
* Experience of working with high level volunteer fundraisers and senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Thorough knowledge of legal, financial and ethical considerations related to fundraising from Trusts, Lotteries and Statutory funders.
* Line management experience.
* Experience of effectively using a CRM system for fundraising.
* Experience of fundraising in the Heritage or Environment sector is desirable
