Test Automation Engineer (Java) Edinburgh Hybrid We are looking for Test Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Edinburgh client and their team where you will be responsible the the rigorous automated testing with Java of the company's applications including desktop, mobile apps and APIs. About the Role As a Test Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with peers across a number of teams. Your key responsibilities will include:. • Perform and document thorough exploratory testing outcomes. • Design and develop automated tests according to behaviours and business rules. • Review user interfaces for conformity, functionality and design guidelines. • Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality. • React quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business. • Maintain good documentation and records of change controls in line with company standards. What you’ll bring to the role:
5. Core Java Programming experience (most tests are written in Java).
6. Solid test automation skills
7. Writing and maintaining testing frameworks with Selenium, TestNG or JUnit.
8. CI/CD technologies as part of the SDLC, such as Git and TeamCity.
9. Developing and prioritising test cases for functional and non-functional requirements..
10. Familiarity with Linux OS environments, ideally including cloud based VMs and Kubernetes.
11. Familiarity with and of OpenFin, JavaScript, SQL, or Python would be useful.
