Wehave an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Practitioner/Nurse to join ourOperating Theatre department within Paediatrics. We provide excellent trainingpackages with the opportunity for both full time and part time positions. Weprovide a 24-hour operating service with the availability of flexibleworking.
Main duties of the job
As part of the multidisciplinary team, theRecovery Practitioner/Nurse is responsible for the assessment, evaluation andimplementation of care given to patients within the recovery room. Our keyduties are, working as a skilled member of the recovery team, carrying outnursing duties within the recovery department and providing the heist standardof patient care. Develop and maintain skills and knowledge necessary to provideholistic, evidence based nursing care, following CPD requirements. Participatein the maintenance of standards in accordance with the clinical policies andprocedures. Always communicate effectively and responsibly with patientsfamilies and colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team. Maintain accurateand legible written and electronic records of care, ensuring that the safety,privacy and dignity of the patient is maintained at all times.

Toprovide and be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development,implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for the Peri-operativepatient. To carry out all relevant formsof care competently without direct supervision.
Communicatewith members of the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of careand promote effective team working.
Toassist with the teaching and supervision of learners and other staff.
Thejobholder will work within an environment caring for peri-operative patients.
