About The Role
You will be providing counselling, information, referrals and coordination for clients and their families in crisis or need of support, primarily those navigating cancer or palliative care needs. Working closely with our Oncology and Palliative Care teams, you will also have access to support from the broader community health team.
Your work will span acute services, palliative care, and cancer care. Whilst you will be located in Moree, you may provide outreach to persons within the surrounding areas.
To support your success, you will receive mentoring from experienced Social Workers, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities, including online learning.

Nestled in the stunning Gwydir Valley of northwest New South Wales, Moree is a peaceful town known for its rejuvenating atmosphere. You will be joining a team of experienced and supportive Social Workers onsite, who are focused on providing positive outcomes for clients.
About You
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and resilient professional with a deep understanding of the complex impact cancer has on clients, families, carers, and communities. You will bring experience in delivering culturally appropriate and competent services and programs.
Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills are essential, along with a proactive work ethic and the ability to navigate challenges with compassion and professionalism.
Requirements
* Bachelor in Social Work or equivalent with eligibility for membership with Australian Association of Social Work (AASW)

* *Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position. All payments made to part-time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.
