About the role: This role is a fixed term position to support the extensive upgrade works at Cruachan Power Station, which will deliver the replacement of Units 3&4 and a Supergrid Transformer alongside a variety of other work packages. You’ll be responsible for supporting operational compliance with all safety, environmental and quality management legislation and standards at Cruachan Power Station, through the period of upgrade works and support the HSE Manager, site leadership team, and wider operations and engineering teams in delivering the planned upgrade, and continued plant operation in a safe, efficient, environmentally compliant manner. In this role you’ll – · Be a champion for health, safety and environment with all staff and contractors. · Drive high standards in HSE across the site by supporting the leadership team · Ensure the safe and compliant operation of Cruachan Power Station, ensuring high standards in terms of HSEQ are maintained, processes are followed and risks are reduced wherever possible. · Provide a visible and engaging presence onsite, building collaborative relationships with colleagues and contractors to ensure high standards are maintained. · Investigate accidents, incidents and evaluate the hazards reported. Support the HSE Manager and Site Leadership Team on accident investigation and Panels of Inquiry as required. This will be a full time site based position. Who we’re looking for: To be successful in this role you’ll need to have – · NEBOSH or IOSH certification. · Knowledge and experience in an operational compliance or quality role within an industrial environment. Health, Safety and Environmental experience within energy, engineering, manufacturing or construction sector would be preferred. · Knowledge and experience of ISO Standards 9001, 14001 and 450001 · Auditor qualifications for ISO14001, ISO9001 or ISO45001 would be an advantage.
