Job Title: DASS Equipment Engineering: Systems Engineer Location: Warton. Salary: Circa £41,361 What you’ll be doing: Working with the supplier to understand programme status and key issues Provide technical input and stakeholder management into Design artifacts Support the Final Assembly Line & Flight Development Line to ensure that DASS equipment is available to meet programme requirements Support the Final Assembly Line & Flight Development Line to ensure that DASS system issues are understood and are either resolved or concessed where appropriate Ensure that relevant EF process’ is visible and adhered to within the supply base Support the management of equipment programme plans, status information and issue slide to keep them topical with the latest information to support the team reviews Support the supplier bid process through support to the DASS procurement team Your skills and experiences: A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent with relevant experience gained on an aircraft engineering project or related field The ability to develop and present a range of complex data to a variety of stakeholders The ability to support tasks across multiple contracts, balancing priorities and workload across a team The ability to identify and pro-actively resolve issues impacting programmes, escalating any issues for resolution by exception A basic understanding of the ‘V’ lifecycle and its application to the production of qualification requirements and aircraft certification and clearances Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The DDT &E; Platform Systems Defensive team: An excellent opportunity has become available for a Systems Engineer to join the DDT&E; Platform Systems Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS) Team. The DASS System consists of the Defensive Aids Computer (DAC), Electronic Surveillance Measures (ESM), Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) and Missile Approach Warner (MAW), providing platform survivability and situational awareness and the Chaff and Flare Counter Measures Dispensing Systems (CMDS).
