We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a Major Civil Contractor who specializes in a variety of heavy civil engineering sectors across the UK. The role will be based on a multi-million pound tunnelling project in Somerset.
Relevant Qualifications needed:
1. Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering
2. Progressed steadily from an Engineering background
3. Previously worked in Civil sectors
4. Chartered or working towards Chartership
5. Experience managing a team of on-site staff (engineers, foreman, etc)
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Preparation of budget and forecasts for each contract
2. Review and guide on the preparation of monthly cost and value reconciliations on each project in compliance with the timescales.
3. Action promptly all supply chain invoices accounts and contractual issues.
4. Undertake the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly Value of Work Done forecast and Earned Value Analysis.
5. Guide the team on Supply Chain Management and administration and contractual requirements of the Alliance Contract schedules.
6. Assist with the preparation of financial information in relation to Alliance Governance paperwork and the Purchasers pre-construction governance procedures, processes and investment board reviews.
7. Ensure consolidated monthly project and scheme applications for payments are completed, for both Services Orders and Works Orders.
8. Work closely with the operational teams, finance, and QS teams in evaluating both cost accruals and estimated actual costs in relation to the monthly application for payment/s.

1. Working knowledge of NEC Frameworks
2. Strong analytical & data review/interpretation skills
3. Previous contractual and commercial experience in a similar setting
