Salary: £100,000-£120,000 basic + £40,000 bonus and LTIP.

Having recently been acquired, our client is a £10m revenue, 40-employee company that’s looking for a commercially orientated managing director to drive growth and help expand revenues through further acquisitions.
The role
The Managing Director will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the company, with a strong focus on achieving financial performance and operational excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on operator with a proven track record in P&L management, operational efficiency, and team leadership within the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.
* P&L Management: Oversee the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure accountability for P&L results across all departments.
* Operational Excellence: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality and delivery timelines.
* Team Development: Hire, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing management team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
* Market Development: Identify and pursue new acquisitions, partnerships, and markets to drive growth and expand the company’s footprint.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the group board, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Represent the company at industry events and forums.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the business and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
* Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Group CEO, CFO and board on company performance, strategic initiatives, and market conditions.
What you will need to succeed in this role
* Successful track record in a managing director role with full P&L responsibility.
* Strong knowledge of how modern manufacturing processes run (robotics, automation, AI, IoT, 3D printing).
* Experience working for SME’s.
* Degree educated.
