Bookkeeper £30,000 - York / Harrogate My client is looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to work as part of their accounts team. You will be required to provide an efficient, reliable and friendly service. Key Responsibilities: 1. Working for a variety of client's using QuickBooks, Xero, Sage and various other accounting packages. 2. Carry out general bookkeeping for individual clients. 3. Prepare Documents and Accounts accurately and ensure deadlines are met. 4. Accurately prepare quarterly VAT Returns and any relevant documents and ensure deadlines are met using a variety of different accounting packages and software. 5. Keep an accurate record of time spent on each individual job, recording any relevant issues or queries. 6. Accurately maintain and update manual and computer records. 7. Attend training, as required, to develop relevant knowledge skills 8. Comply with internal policies and procedures, ethical standards and regulatory requirements. 9. Attend team meetings to develop ideas for progressing the business. Specific Job Skills: Experience of working in a busy office environment. Accurate IT skills; proficient in Microsoft Office programmes. Have extensive experience in using accounting packages, ideally QuickBooks and Xero. Ability to maintain confidentially and deal sensitively and diplomatically with a range of clients, colleagues and secure information. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide a professional and courteous service. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
