Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to work in partnership at both strategic and operational levels with relevant and external stakeholders. The post holder will need to ensure that people who use services, carers and advocates are treated with respect and dignity Provide excellent clinical leadership and actively develop your team along with expert advice to our hospital and community specialists, managers and directors on what is needed to deliver excellent care and future strategic directions. The Consultant has a continuing responsibility for the care of patients and for the proper functioning of the department. The consultant will liaise with the General Practitioners, hospital and community specialists and other agencies wherever relevant. Job Overview
Applications are invited from candidates for a Clinical Fellowship post in Psychiatry at Leicester Medical School and Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. You will be a trainee who has satisfactorily attained MRCPsych and eligible for an Out of Programme Experience (OOPE) from Core or Higher Speciality Training or in a gap between core and higher training.
All applicants must be fully registered with the GMC and must hold a license to practice.
Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)
The clinical aspect of the post includes experience of old age liaison psychiatry within the Mental Health Liaison Team based in University Hospitals of Leicester at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. There will be appropriate clinical supervision in place for the trainee. The Fellow will be involved in supporting the learning needs of undergraduate medical and nursing students in clinical placement.

1. MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
2. MRCPsych and completion of CT training
3. Has either successfully completed the UK Foundation Programme with ARCP Outcome 1
4. A Psychiatry post in Foundation Programme
