Job summary An excellent opportunity has risen for a Band 7 pharmacist to join our vibrant Surgery and Critical Carepharmacy team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work closely within the multidisciplinary teams to deliver a high level of pharmaceutical care, advice and medicines management service. You will have the opportunity to deputise for the lead pharmacists, be involved in directorate work including guideline development and lead on projects. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and management skills within the role and will be supported to continue to develop professionally through a diploma, prescribing course or other opportunities identified. Main duties of the job Provision of clinical pharmacy services to the wards and departments within the Care Group of Surgery and Critical Care to a consistently high standard in line with the Trust strategic objectives and the NHS Long Term Plan. Day to day supervision and support of pharmacy staff working in those areas. Demonstrate a high level of specialist knowledge and practice in this field. Support the Lead Advanced Pharmacist to cover the day to day work of the service. Contribute to the development of pharmaceutical services to the Trust and to promote the highest standards of professional practice in accordance with relevant legislation, the Code of Ethics of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), United Kingdom Medicines Information (UKMI) standards and Trust policies and procedures.
