Our Client based in Kings Lynn is looking for a Plant Manager to join their business. Our client is a large global organisation that specialises in the Manufacturing sector. The Plant Manager is responsible for managing the operational efficiency of the business and will require previous experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities of the Plant Manager role:
1. Responsible for the entire Plant product manufacturing operation.
2. Identify and implement improvements in working practices and utilise modern manufacturing philosophies, techniques and systems that will optimise productivity, cost, quality and output.
3. Interface with other departments to create efficiencies with quality and delivery and to develop a strong team with a positive attitude within the manufacturing function.
4. Due diligence when dealing with all personally identifiable information in accordance with current data protection regulations.
5. Recruitment and Training.
6. Active involvement in all weekly Comms meetings.
7. Manage the day to day running of the factory unit.
8. Produce and maintain a production plan ensuring all sales orders and key stock levels are serviced. Ensure that productivity performance targets and quality performance targets are met/exceeded.
9. Review and monitor the production plan to ensure lead times are maintained or improved.
10. Ensure production/cost efficiencies are monitored and controlled and to reduce costs where possible.
11. Ensure that the Company’s Stock replenishment/Kanban system reflects current production capabilities and results in efficient purchasing and inventory management.
12. Review current methods of manufacture and to recommend and implement cost reduction and production efficiency improvements where necessary.
13. Manage and develop both quality and health and safety systems.
To be considered for the Plant Manager role you must have worked in a similar role previously. You will have experience in volume and small batch production in a semi-automated and manual environment.

Working hours for the Plant Manager role are Monday to Thursday 7.00am till 15.30pm and Friday 07.00am till 13.00pm.
