Position - Maintenance Engineer
Location - London
Salary - £45,000
Shifts - 8am - 5pm
What You’ll Do:
* Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
* Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
* Review assigned work orders, estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs, and utilise available systems to manage work orders and track completion.
* Support energy management by ensuring that all systems operate efficiently.
* Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
* Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
* Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
* Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with company values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
* Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.
* Work within broad guidelines and policies.
* Explain difficult or sensitive information effectively.
What You’ll Need:
* GCSE, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. A combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience is preferred.
* Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads.
* Ability to exercise judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
* Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
* Strong organisational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
* Sophisticated maths skills, including the ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
