The AA Roadside pricing team is currently undergoing exciting transformations. Leveraging cutting-edge pricing and machine learning techniques, we are completely revamping our renewal pricing process. Our enriched data is primed for utilisation, and we’re seeking a Senior Optimisation Analyst who possesses the skills, vision, and determination to shape top-tier pricing strategies.
As a Senior Optimisation Analyst, you will take full ownership of the renewal pricing journey. Supported by a high-calibre pricing team and state-of-the-art pricing tools, you’ll not only analyse findings but also collaborate with stakeholders to drive impactful decisions. Additionally, you’ll play a pivotal role in mentoring and developing other analysts within the team.
What will I be doing?
* Model Building and Maintenance: Construct and uphold robust pricing models to enhance AA’s value by optimising renewal performance aligned with business objectives.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing model performance through innovative data elements and analytical techniques, including open data, data enrichment, and machine learning.
* Data Set Development: Create reliable data sets to ensure data adequacy and accuracy. Collaborate with Financial Analysts to support life-time value models.
* Implementation Support: Assist the Pricing Manager in managing implementation tasks, such as model deployment and price testing.
* Mentoring and Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members to achieve stronger performance and align with pricing team goals.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Present insights and strategic plans to key stakeholders, securing their support for pricing initiatives.
* Collaboration with Other Teams: Work closely with pricing and data teams to seamlessly integrate insights into pricing strategies.
What do I need?
* Proven Expertise: Demonstrated expertise with Radar with a focus on use of Optimiser, including deployment in Radar Live and subject matter expertise in constructing and maintaining price optimisation projects.
* Technical Proficiency: Solid technical understanding of insurance pricing models, including Generalised Linear Models (GLMs) and machine learning techniques.
* Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, SQL, R, etc.).
* Accountability and Communication: Ability to take ownership of your work and effectively communicate results to stakeholders.
* Pressure Handling and Judgment: Capability to work under pressure and exercise sound judgment to provide timely and appropriate answers.
* Problem-Solving Acumen: Evidence of using appropriate analytical techniques to solve a variety of business problems and competence in organising, filtering, and augmenting data.
* Academic Excellence: High academic achievement with a Graduate Degree or above in a numerical subject.
* Analytical Background: Continued application of analytical skills in a workplace setting.
