Job Introduction
As a Residency Living Co-ordinator at Sodexo in Northumbria University, you are a problem solver, multi-tasker, and safety promoter. The Residency Living Co-ordinator position focuses on supporting the delivery of a comprehensive Residency Living Programme, enhancing the quality of life and experiences of the residents in Northumbria University Accommodation. They need to be a ‘go to’ person who is visible and will correspond and engage regularly with students, employees, and external stakeholders to keep them informed of Student Living and university developments relating to student accommodation and the Residency Living programme. What you’ll do:
* Report directly to the Residency Living Manager to ensure that student experience is at the foundation of everything you do and enhance student experience with new ideas and innovation.
* Create a fun living experience for our residents, providing the best platform from which our students can excel at their studies. Support in creating an environment that gives a homely experience where students will choose to remain until they graduate – increased retention being the main goal.
* Coordinate welcome packs and events for student intake that will enthrall new arrivals and be at a level above those of our competitors.
* Strive to provide all residents the best possible experience in the 4 key stages of their time with us:
o Before they arrive
o Move in day / fresher’s week
o During their stay
o Supporting their departure
* Support and work on university Open / Experience Days, including being on site and coordinating welcome events for prospective students. Work with a team of staff to give visitors the best impression possible of university accommodation.
* Support in providing and maintaining a uniformed approach to communications to the students living in Sodexo managed buildings. Create a comprehensive standard template library that is clear, engaging, and appropriate for all residents.
* Support and deliver a professional social media presence to our residents and stakeholders.
* Provide and manage a communications plan throughout the year that enables Sodexo to continuously communicate with students.
* Work alongside the management team and other colleagues to help deliver on our Social Impact pledge that contributes to maintaining a positive effect on the wider community.
* Work with the Residency Living Manager to oversee our team of Residency Advisors in delivering events and supporting other areas of the contract when needed.
* Support when needed on the University’s disciplinary process.

* Ability to communicate and work alongside co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
* Good attention to detail and strong communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and time management.
* Creativity and a forward-thinking approach to enhance residents' experience during their time in accommodation.
* Support in building and leveraging relationships with businesses and external parties to expand the residency living programme beyond contract staff and Sodexo employees.
Package Description:
* £12.21 per hour
* 40 hours per week
* Monday to Friday between the hours of 09:00am – 17:30pm. There may be a requirement to work outside of these contracted hours depending on activities, training, or events.
* Occasional weekend working between the hours of 09:00am and 15:00pm to assist with Northumbria University Experience Days.
