Key Activities
1. Development of electronic/electrical hardware through the whole product lifecycle in line with aerospace standards DO-254/ ARP4754A (design, verification, and qualification to support product certification)
2. Solving of complex hardware engineering problems
3. Produce documentation to support hardware design & certification solutions
4. Hardware requirements management with traceability to design and test hardware
5. Qualification Management in line with aerospace standard DO-160
Essential Responsibilities
1. Support HW verification activities, producing HW test procedures and HW test reports
2. Solving complex hardware engineering problems
3. Work as part of a diverse disciplinary team
Qualifications / Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in electronic/electrical from an accredited university/college or equivalent qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
2. Experience in development of HW electrical/electronic products in a safety-critical environment (ideally gained in aerospace)
3. Knowledge of product design and development activities including exposure to design for manufacture and test methodologies
4. Experience of working in a team environment delivering products to cost and schedule
5. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Characteristics
1. An understanding of regulatory and safety requirements for safety-critical products (ideally gained in aerospace industry)
2. Knowledge of Electrical Wiring Installation System (EWIS) regulatory
3. A working knowledge of software and systems design
4. Ability to understand and be involved in all phases of the product development life cycle
5. You will be expected to play an active part in the design and development of new products from concept through to manufacture and beyond
6. Willing to participate in military product design
