A quick look at the role The key function of this role is to support the day to day operation of the control room, ensuring that the team all aware of the importance they have in service delivery. As part of this they will undertake regular reviews of the outputs of the control room operators. The role holder will be required to implement systems to ensure that performance targets are met and the operators work is at the required standard. Ability to manage the workload taking into account the varying requirements of the service delivery and ensuring that the team are all fully aware of these changes/ timing requirements. This will involve team working closely with operations to enable delivery of the contract KPI’s. Your core responsibilities To team lead a team of operatives responsible for visually monitoring the health and safety and performance across multiple waste collection sites via CCTV camera systems in operation on refuse collection vehicles. Support the team’s requirements for training and development within their own roles and to support the wider business requirements. Support the business in new initiatives relating to [but not limited to] new ways of working SHQ updates. To maintain an operational understanding of all relevant contracts. To manage the team day to day within the control room, support the development of team members through effective feedback and coaching sessions with the team. To understand the purpose of the control room and further develop the concept and implement through the team. To produce and distribute monthly performance reports to depots. To compile statistics taken from audits on a daily basis, communicate the completed audits on a daily basis and in a timely manner to depot contacts.
