About the Role
The Department of Art is looking for someone to take on the role of Programme Leader of the MA Art and Ecology for the Summer term 2025 to provide DRT cover. The role holder will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the MA Art and Ecology programme; for ensuring that the scheduled teaching and assessment occurs, and that the student experience remains at a high level. The role holder will oversee admissions of the 2025-26 cohort, ensuring that the programme meets its targets. They will also be responsible for supporting the students in their preparations for their degree show and managing the assessment and reporting of the marks for this part of the practice-based aspect of the degree, as well as organizing dissertation supervision over the summer term.
About the Candidate
You will be an artist, curator or art historian with significant experience of working in art education and experience of teaching in HE Fine Art. You will demonstrate a serious engagement with your own practice and be responsive to the varied and specific needs of those on this strongly student-centred course. You will have a proven ability to teach at research level including PhD supervision and to manage student assessment, processes and procedures of examination .
