English Teacher – Alternative Provision School Location: Solihull, West Midlands Position: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience We are looking for a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our team at our alternative provision school in Solihull. Our school provides tailored education for children with ADHD, ASD, and anxiety, and we are looking for someone with experience in supporting students with these specific needs. As an English Teacher, you will deliver lessons that are accessible and engaging, ensuring that all students can progress academically while fostering a love for literature and language. Your creativity and ability to tailor lessons to meet individual needs will be key to your success in this role. Key Responsibilities:
* Teach English to small groups of students with ADHD, ASD, and anxiety.
* Adapt teaching materials and methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
* Work collaboratively with other teaching staff and the SENCO to support student development.
* Monitor and track student progress, ensuring all students reach their full potential.
* Contribute to the development of lesson plans, IEPs, and classroom strategies to enhance learning.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching English to students with special educational needs, particularly ADHD, ASD, and anxiety.
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching.
* A commitment to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
* Passion for supporting children with SEND and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
