Position: Research Study Manager
Location: Botnar Research Centre, Windmill Road, Oxford, OX3 7LD
Department: Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS)
Grade: 7: £38,674-£43,171 per annum
Type: Part time (70% FTE), fixed term position until 31st December 2026
This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Study Manager to join a thriving community of researchers dedicated to better understanding musculoskeletal diseases that affect people at all stages of their life, and to develop and assess current and new interventions designed to improve the quality of life of patients, their families, and carers.
You will be based at the Botnar Research Centre and will work closely with patient research partners, psychologists, statisticians, epidemiologists, machine-learning and AI experts, and clinicians of diverse specialties.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day running of research projects, including ethics applications, adherence to protocols, and timelines.
2. Lead in study-related matters including data queries and organization of source files.
3. Monitor procedures and provide guidance and expertise on the study protocol as required.
4. Ensure all study documentation is accurate and in place, maintaining trial master files and site files for research studies.
5. Ensure annual reporting to ethics committees and draft and implement ethical amendments where necessary.
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience as a project manager/coordinator and the ability to contribute ideas for new research projects and research grants is desirable.
