We are looking for a Team Leader for a 12 Month Maternity Cover Contract in Oxford working with homelessness, the salary is £33,000-£35,000 depending on qualifications and experience. We are looking for a Team Leader to ensure the delivery, management and development of high quality person-centred support to vulnerable individuals and where applicable facilities management pertaining to buildings in accordance with contract specifications, relevant procedures and statutory obligations, enabling individuals to sustain tenancies by promoting independence, freedom and choice. You will manage and lead on the delivery of a high quality support and where applicable intensive housing management service to all vulnerable individuals. You will monitor and manage team caseloads, ensuring support is delivered against Independent Living plans, group work programmes and within Group Policies and Procedures. You will monitor and report concerns regarding safeguarding issues or significant changes in the health and social circumstances of a customer in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. You will line manage and support a team of employees, volunteers and student placements, specifically in the areas of absence and resource management, performance management and learning and development. You will ensure that tenancy/licence agreements are upheld and where applicable building facilities management is carried out to a high standard including designated H & S checks, reporting of repairs and the general safety, security and cleanliness of buildings. You will build effective partnerships with external agencies and other stakeholders in order to ensure delivery of the required support to customers and to promote and develop business aims and objectives. You will develop and maintain an understanding of the needs of customers and of the operating environment, keeping abreast of developments in legislation and best practice standards in order to contribute to the development of the Specialist Housing strategy. You will assist the Business Improvement Team in tender exercises and identifying future business opportunities and engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice. Role Requirements Is educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths & English (Grades A – C) Has experience of managing a team working with customers experiencing homelessness, substance misuse and mental health issues Has experience of working in support, housing or care role for vulnerable people Has understanding of causes & effects of homelessness and how to support people in obtaining and maintaining independent living skills in a planned and structured way. Has experience of managing safeguarding issues Experience of group work with vulnerable clients Understanding of commissioners requirements and expectations including inter-agency working Experience of supervision and managing team performance Ability to network and build strong relationships with partner agencies, community and key stakeholders. Awareness of professional boundaries and how to manage these Confident in dealing with distress and aggressive customers Ability to use IT packages and management information systems.
