Quality Inspector required by the NI Housing Executive to work from their offices in Derry / Londonderry
Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) to recruit a Quality Inspector to work from their office in Derry / Londonderry on an ongoing temporary contract basis. You will work within the Programme Delivery team, which is a multidisciplinary and professional in-house operation that delivers the Housing Executive's Planned Scheme Improvement programmes. It also provides an inspection and reporting service in relation to Planned Scheme Improvement and the provision of Adaptations for People with Disabilities.
Your new role
You will carry out an inspection and measurement service on allocated construction sites, ensuring that contract standards are maintained in respect of Statutory Regulations, materials and workmanship.
You will inspect records / reports and measure work completed at various stages throughout construction, maintaining detailed records, forwarding these records and measurements to the Contract Administrator/Project Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
A degree or equivalent qualification in a Technical/Construction related discipline, plus 2 years’ post-qualification experience in construction maintenance, or;
A BTEC Higher Certificate/Diploma or equivalent qualification in a Technical/Construction related discipline, plus 3 years’ post-qualification experience in Construction maintenance.
Exceptionally, candidates who do not meet the qualification requirement but who can demonstrate 4 years’ relevant experience in construction maintenance may also be considered.
