You will have the opportunity to benefit from our flexible and agile working practices. This means you can work from a variety of locations, including council buildings and at home.
Working within the IT service, you will work towards achieving a degree in an IT related subject, which will include spending one day a week attending Dundee University.
As part of our Graduate Apprenticeship programme, we will help you develop all the skills, knowledge and confidence you need. You will receive full induction, training, and support from the council and our training partners to complete the nationally recognised qualification as part of the programme.
Your duties will include administration of the Council's financial systems, manning the service desk, handling requests/incidents, and performing general administrative duties using a range of software packages.
Graduate Apprenticeship funding is open to those who are 16 and over, with no upper age limit. There are some restrictions for those outside of Scotland, but in general, you need to be ordinarily resident in the UK, Islands, Gibraltar or EEA/Switzerland for 3 years before the relevant date (so working and staying since August 2022). Those who apply and are living within these areas but outside of Scotland need to be staying in Scotland by 1 August.
This job is temporary for a fixed term period of four years from the date of appointment.
